Who Made This?

No name. No face. Just the work, for now.

I love art, and I love this space. I've been around for a while.

I wanted to put something out there for people to enjoy: a memorable piece, with more to come, for sure. For some things to happen, certain other things have to happen first. So here is my promise: the art. Enjoy all of it, and hopefully we will grow together.

This is not just the beginning. This is the beginning of a beautiful relationship between art, the blockchain, and all things gory, scary and horror.

Growing up, I always loved horror films. I'm a big fan of mythical creatures and the unknown, and I haven't seen a collection that really talks about them.

Why Lil Monsters exists

Every culture has its monsters. The yeti on the Himalayan ridges, the kappa in Japanese rivers, the Jersey Devil in the Pine Barrens, the aswang of the Philippines, Krampus in the Alpine winter, the bunyip in Australian billabongs. People have whispered these stories for centuries, and most of us only ever hear a handful of them.

So I built a world for all of them. 146 species pulled from real folklore, myth and cryptid sightings from around the globe, shrunk down into 5,555 Lil Monsters. Every single one has a real story behind it: where the legend comes from, what people actually believed, and what became of it in the Hollow. Every one has a name, a mood, a rival and a weakness.

And if you hold one, it's yours: the character, its bible, its story. Take it somewhere. Make the film. Draw the comic.

Why no name?

You won't find a name, a face or a handle here. That's on purpose. The best monsters are the ones you never fully see: a shape at the treeline, a voice behind the Veil. The work should walk in first.

“I'm not going anywhere. I've been around for a long time. Why keep myself quiet? It'll all be known soon enough.”
